No Lessons, No Pressure, Just Consistency: The Rule That Revived My Love for Tennis

College made me realize how easy it is to drop the things you love.

Not because the passion is gone, but because it is hard to motivate yourself when there is so much going on.

Since I was a kid, tennis has always been a family thing. Of course, I wasn’t playing as much as my brother, but it was a constant, real pleasure.

Then college happened. No more lessons, nothing in the weekly schedule. A few sessions here. Then nothing for months.

Moving to San Francisco changed that.

With Michael and Marie, we set a simple rule: 3 sport sessions a week. And among those, tennis. 🎾

Showing up regularly, no pressure, no performance goal. And somehow… my level started coming back.

It feels really good to rediscover a sport you thought you’d quietly left behind...
