Rejected 7 Times, Then Accepted

Rejected 7 Times, Then Accepted

We got rejected by Twilio 5 times.

We were building voice AI integration for 14.ai and without their approval, we couldn't move forward.

Voice is one of the most critical channels in customer service so we definitely needed this.

First rejection: "Doesn't meet our criteria." Second, third: More variations of no.

By rejection four, we were exhausted. It feels personal even when it's not. But there was only one way forward.

We addressed every concern they raised. Rejected again.

We submitted with even more detail, more context, more proof of our legitimate use case.

Submission six: ACCEPTED

The feature is now live. It works beautifully.

And credit to Twilio. Their approval process is rigorous because they actually care about what gets built on their platform.

I deeply understand this meme now.
