2026 is the year of Frictionmaxxing.
The things you avoid create 10x more stress than the things you do.
Whatever you're most stressed about right now, just do it.
I could spend hours thinking about difficult conversations I needed to have. Imagining every possible response.
The conversation in my head was always worse than the real one. Same with 'ugh, I need to send that follow-up' or 'ugh, I need to edit this one more time before it goes out'.
Postponing is anxiety that follows you everywhere, it's not relaxing.
It sits in the back of your mind draining energy and creating mental clutter.
The moment you do it, the stress disappears. Because the uncertainty is gone.
Your brain hates open loops.
Unfinished tasks consume mental bandwidth even when you're not actively thinking about them.
Closing the loop - even if the outcome isn't perfect - frees up that space.
I ask myself every morning: "What am I avoiding right now?"
Then I do that thing first.
Action kills anxiety. Avoidance feeds it.
Just do it. You'll feel better.
